Jessie Dorman of Riverstone Holsteins was sponsored by Holstein Friesian New Zealand to attend the New Zealand Kellogg Rural Leaders Programme, which develops emerging agribusiness leaders to help shape the future of New Zealand agribusiness and rural affairs. In 2012, for a period of 11 months, Jessie attended workshops, seminars and carried out a study with others who live and work in rural New Zealand. As part of the sponsorhip, Holstein Friesian New Zealand set the direction of Jessie's study: What is an extra lactation worth? What is the true value of liveweight?
